Hands-on treatment, built around you

Every session starts with what is going on: your training, your work, where it hurts and how you move. Then Ben picks the right mix of techniques. Most sessions combine two or three of the treatments below.

Sports Massage

Targeted, firm work on the muscles you train hardest, to ease tightness, clear niggles and keep you moving well.

The core of what we do. Ben assesses how you move, finds where you are tight or overloaded, and works the muscle groups that need it, using a mix of deep strokes, stretching and soft tissue release.

Ideal around heavy training blocks, after a big game or race, or whenever a muscle feels like it is holding you back.

Good for

  • Tight hamstrings, calves and quads
  • Heavy training weeks
  • Post-match and post-race recovery
  • Recurring niggles

Deep Tissue Release

Slower, deeper pressure for stubborn knots and long-standing tension that a general massage will not shift.

Deep tissue work goes beneath the surface muscle to the layers underneath. It is slower and more focused, working along the fibres to release adhesions and restore movement.

It can be intense, but never more than you are comfortable with. You are in control of the pressure throughout.

Good for

  • Long-standing back and shoulder tension
  • Stiff hips and glutes
  • Restricted range of movement
  • Postural aches from desk work

Cupping Therapy

Cups lift and decompress the tissue to boost blood flow and ease tension. Often combined with massage in the same session.

Cupping uses suction to gently lift the skin and muscle, the opposite of massage pressure. This draws blood flow into the area and helps relax tight, overworked tissue.

The circular marks it leaves are normal and fade within a few days. Ben will always talk you through it first.

Good for

  • Improved circulation
  • Muscle relaxation
  • Back and shoulder tension
  • Pain relief alongside massage

Trigger Point Therapy

Precise, sustained pressure on the tight knots that refer pain elsewhere, like headaches from the neck or back pain from the glutes.

Trigger points are tight, irritable spots in a muscle that can send pain to other areas. Steady pressure on the point helps it release and calm down.

It is usually worked into a sports or deep tissue massage, wherever Ben finds the tissue needs it.

Good for

  • Tension headaches
  • Neck and upper back knots
  • Referred pain
  • Glute and lower back tightness

Swedish Massage

Lighter, flowing pressure to relax the whole body. For stress, sleep and simply feeling better.

Not everyone needs deep work. Swedish massage uses long, rhythmic strokes to relax the muscles, settle the nervous system and leave you feeling looser and calmer.

A great choice if you are new to massage, between training blocks, or just carrying the stress of a busy week.

Good for

  • Stress and tension
  • Better sleep
  • First-time massage
  • General wellbeing

Event Preparation

Pre and post-event sessions to get you primed for match day, race day or competition, and recovering fast afterwards.

Pre-event massage is quicker and more stimulating, warming the muscles and getting you ready to perform. Post-event work focuses on flushing out fatigue and getting you ready to go again.

Ben also works with clubs and teams for pre-season and match-day recovery. Get in touch to talk about a team session.

Good for

  • Match day and race day
  • Competition prep
  • Club and team sessions
  • Pre-season
